Minolta SR Lenses

Angle of view, SR lenses. Emanuel 1964:61 Minolta manufactured sixteen SR lenses in ten different focal lengths, from the Super Wide Rokkor PI (21mm, f/4.5) to the Tele Rokkor TD (600mm, f/5.6). They are comparable in many cases to the design and construction of later MC lenses of similar focal length and lens element configuration.

These lenses use three different aperture control systems. The 21mm Super Wide lens uses a "click-stop"

SR-series lenses fit and work on SRT and X-series camera bodies, but they do not engage these later bodies' through-the-lens metering systems. One must stop down the aperture using the stop-down or "depth of field" button before metering the exposure. (Since this makes it difficult to focus, it is best to set the focus before beginning to set the exposure.) Leave the aperture stopped down while releasing the shutter.
